Drink and Draw At-Home Art Program: Escher Tessellations

Thursday May 20 at 6PM:  Register by May 7

The North Kingstown Arts Council has teamed up with RIMOSA for a remote adult  “Drink & Draw ”!  Slip on your comfy socks and join the Rhode Island Museum of Science & Art (RIMOSA) on Zoom Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 6 PM – RIMOSA will deliver your art supplies and you BYOB!

This hour-long program includes a brief discussion on the art of M.C. Escher – especially his tessellations (a type of art made by repeating shapes that cover the page like tiles).  Then, the group will create their own tessellations using an easy technique lead by the RIMOSA Educator.   No prior art experience or talent necessary! Visit tinyurl.com/MayEscherProgram to register.  Please be sure to include an accurate home address and any specific delivery instructions, such as where to leave the kits or tips to locate your home if it is not easy to find.

The cost of this program is $5 per kit, delivered to your home prior to the program on May 20th.  Each kit contains all of the art materials needed for one person. Just provide your own beverage!  We recommend purchasing a kit for each individual participating in the program.

This program is made possible by the generous support of the North Kingstown Arts Council.
