DESCRIPTION:The NK Arts Council is not a sponsor of this event\, but we wanted to share it! \n\n\n\nJoin In April 4-9\, 2022 for a Celebration of Diverse Books!\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe Are ALL Readers is a week-long festival of diverse children’s books\, created by local public and school libraries\, children’s book authors and illustrators\, and local community organizations. Our events include: \n\n\n\n\nStoryWalks® at libraries and schools in East Greenwich\, North Kingstown\, Kingston\, West Warwick\, and Exeter featuring outdoor installations of picture book pages along a walking path.\n\n\n\nFree virtual author visits for schools in those districts.\n\n\n\nBookmaking\, poetry writing\, and comics workshops for kids.\n\n\n\nA free\, public\, in-person book celebration on April 9\, from 1-5pm\, featuring:\n\nStorytimes and talks by a diverse lineup of award-winning children’s book authors and illustrators who will interact with children and sign books.\n\n\n\nHands-on art\, writing\, and book activities for kids.\n\n\n\nPop up bookstore by Wakefield Books. (Buy a book and get it signed!)\n\n\n\nInfo tables hosted by local community health and education groups\n\n\n\nA new\, free book of your choice for the first 350 kids!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMore info at www.weareallreaders.org
