The Arts Council periodically seeks town residents who are interested in serving on the 12 member council to help us continue to expand our programming and build upon the success we have enjoyed in impacting the quality of life in our town. One meeting per month, the second Wednesday, is a basic requirement. In addition, each member selects an area of special interest – project management, publicity, supporting existing events and even designing and managing a new event.
Please note that you do not need to have an art background to serve on this council. We are looking for community-minded people who have an interest in sharing their time, talent, energy and imagination.
To apply, send us your application. Your application should include your current resume and short note outlining your interest in joining the council and what you can bring. You can also apply online by visiting the North Kingstown town website and applying through the Boards & Commissions page (under Government). Locate the Arts Council committee in the list and click the apply button. Online applications are submitted automatically and physical applications may be mailed to:
